Competitive research grant activity of DPP / SPP-FKUB is held in response to the declaration of excellent research tree in FK-UB which requires intensive research to facilitate the development of research in FK-UB. Competitive Grant DPP / SPP-FKUB emphasizes two things, namely

(1)  theme in accordance with the specified FKUB research tree,
(2) research is more oriented at preliminary research to gain bigger research funding at national/international level, thereby increasing income generating of the faculty.
Research themes which are considered excellent and FKUB research tree are:

• Stem Cell
• autoimmune disease
• Infectious Diseases
• Medical Technology
• Herbal Medicine
• Degenerative Diseases and Metabolic diseases
• growth and development
• Social medicine

A research using DPP/SPP fund FK UB can be carried out with the duration of 1 year per title and a minimum fund of Rp 25.000.000,00 and a maximum of Rp 50.000.000,00. Researchers who can propose are FKUB Lecturers staff and they are required to involve students (in accordance with the provisions). Only a team of researchers who can meet the targeted outcomes can submit study proposal for the following year. The registration of research proposals for the next fiscal year will be opened after the fund in the previous year is redeened in November. Information of Community Service Program DPP / SPP Fund

In accordance with the objectives of community service programs namely to enhance the quality of community service by making FKUB as the pioneer in community empowerment in health sector, and utilize the results of community service for the development of education, research, and service to the people who become the stakeholders. UPPM team provides a vessel for community service program held every year for FKUB lecturer staff. The maximum fund for short-term program is up to Rp. 5.000.000 and for long-term program the fund is provided by a maximum of Rp. 20.000.000. Community service program refers to FKUB Community Service Tree as follows:

1. School Health Unit
2. Achievement of MDGs through Patronage Area
3. Disaster and Emergency Management
4. Degenerative Diseases
5. Herbal Medicine
6. Health Technology
