The Research Unit has the following tasks:

  1. Developing and socializing the implementation of research quality standards and quality indicators;
  2. Developing and coordinating the governance of research projects, harmonized with educational objectives, faculty development, and national research standards;
  3. Coordinating the scheme of research and budgeting activities with the Dean, Vice Dean for Academic Affairs, Vice Dean for General Affairs and Finance, Vice Dean for Student Affairs;
  4. Coordinating research activities with all parties;
  5. Directing research activities based on Faculty of Medicine Universitas Brawijaya (FMUB)’s research umbrella in line with the specialty in field of science for each department /study program and or cross departments/study programs at FMUB;
  6. Developing research cooperation with all parties in order to contribute to the development of  science and technology and  carrying out coordination with community development unit and cooperation unit;
  7. Evaluating the development of research centers at FMUB;
  8. Reporting research conducted by faculty members to the Dean and Institute for Research and Community Service (LPPM) Brawijaya University; and
  9. Conducting annual evaluation and report it to the Dean through the Chairman of BPPM.

Community Service and Emergency and Disaster Response have the following tasks:

  1. Socializing and developing the implementation of quality standards for community service and its quality indicators;
  2. Developing and coordinating the governance of community service activities that are aligned with the goals of education, faculty development, and national standards of community service;
  3. Coordinating the scheme of community service activities and budgeting with the Dean, Vice Dean for Academic Affairs, Vice Dean for General Affairs and Finance, Vice Dean for Student Affairs;
  4. Coordinating with all parties on community service activities;
  5. Developing community service cooperation with all parties in order to contribute to the development of science and technology and to coordinate with research units and cooperation units;
  6. Coordinating the activities of community service performed at the Faculty level;
  7. Directing community-oriented service activities to support the development of learning materials in the Faculty and also support the needs of the community;
  8. Developing community service activities oriented to community needs and local government development with all parties;
  9. Conducting the community service through acute prehospital and disaster-related medical responses;
  10. Carrying out strengthening and mitigation of vulnerable areas by conducting hazard vulnerability assessment;
  11. Coordinating and collaborating with the Health Office on rapid health assessment in the event of a disaster;
  12. Providing first response service on disaster condition;
  13. Responsible for faculty disaster planning;
  14. Reporting community service activities conducted by faculty members to the Dean and Institute for Research and Community Service (LPPM) of Brawijaya University; and
  15. Conducting annual evaluation and reporting it to the Dean through BPPM.

The Cooperation Unit has the following tasks:

  1. 1. Socializing and developing the implementation of quality standards of cooperation and their quality indicators;
  2. Facilitating the proposed cooperation to the Dean;
  3. Initiating the expansion of national and international cooperation networks;
  4. Outlining the draft of the cooperation;
  5. Conducting monitoring and evaluation of existing cooperative activities;
  6. Proposing to the Dean to discontinue cooperation with other parties on the recommendation of the relevant work unit;
  7. Providing information about the expired cooperation;
  8. Conducting an inventory for work contracts and reports on the implementation and development of cooperation;
  9. Conducting the evaluations related to the working partners’ satisfaction;
  10. Facilitating the preparation of regulation for the admission of Indonesian and international students of Specialist Program for graduates of international and national medical educations;
  11. Facilitating the preparation of regulation of adaptation program for Indonesian students and international students graduating from overseas medical education institutions
  12.  Conducting annual evaluation and reporting it to the Dean through BPPM.
