Recently, stem cells technique research gained a rapid development in Indonesia and give a benefit in many clinical aspects. In 2008, Indonesian Stem Cell Association (ASPI) was established, as an indicate of Indonesian researchers seriousness on stem cell research. In 2017, Biomedical Central Laboratory which has a mission as a central of health and medical research program in Biomedical field which has supplied with a competent and qualified human resources for research, manipulation, pre-clinical and clinical test, start to conduct the research about stem cell and its application on medical sector.
As a means of simple technique on stem cells and Biomedical Central Laboratory facilities introduction to the researchers, Biomedical Central Laboratory was held a national stem cell workshop event “ From Basic To Applicable Technique” on Thursday 20th July 2017. The keynote speakers were : Edwin Widodo, S.Si., M.Sc., PhD (Basic Knowledge of Stem Cell), Dr. drg. Nur Permatasari, MS (Basic Culture Technique) and Agustina Tri Endharti, S.Si., PhD ( Flowcitometry Stem Cells Marker Interpretation). Workshop subjects was consist of Cell Isolation Process ( PBMC, adipose, bone marrow cells) and Cell Culture Process (adipose and bone marrow cell culture). This workshop was attended by researchers from many University in Indonesia (TW/2017).
