On Thursday, October 16, 2025, a Sharing Session on the Opening of the Master’s Double Degree Program was held in the Senate Room, 9th floor of the Joint Education Building, Faculty of Medicine, Universitas Brawijaya (FMUB). The event was attended by the Dean of FMUB along with the entire leadership team, including the Vice Deans, special staff, Heads of Departments, Heads of Study Program, and Academic Coordinators from the Master of Biomedical Science, Master of Hospital Management, and Bachelor of Medicine programs, as well as two representatives from Universitas Gadjah Mada: dr. Nur Arfian, Ph.D. and dr. Yogik Onky Silvana W., Ph.D.
The session discussed strategies and mechanisms for implementing the double degree program within FMUB. The discussion focused on the need to strengthen coordination in determining graduation requirements, internship projects, teaching methods, and curricula that align with international standards. Several reference universities, such as Mahidol University (Thailand), University of Montpellier (France), Universitas Gadjah Mada (Indonesia), and Juntendo University (Japan), were highlighted as models in developing the program structure to be adopted.
Through this forum, FMUB aims to establish a strong foundation for implementing an integrated and globally competitive double degree program. With well-prepared strategies and effective collaboration among stakeholders, FMUB is optimistic about attracting prospective students, both domestic and international, to choose FMUB as a leading destination for advancing their studies in medicine and health sciences.
