Sabtu (17/12), Fakultas Kedokteran (FKUB) mengadakan Seminar dan Workshop dengan tema The Winner 2011 (Workshop In Nursing Education Area) “ Toward Better Emergency Personel in Professionalism, Legal and Ethic ” untuk mendukung kode etik dalam profesi ners (perawat). Kegiatan yang di ikuti oleh profesional ners dan mahasiswa tersebut dibuka Dekan Fakultas Kedokteran Universitas Brawijaya (FKUB) di gedung Graha Medika lantai 2.
Elly Nur Rachmah yang dalam presentasinya menjelaskan tentang “ Aspek etik dan legal dalam keperawatan kritikal / emergensi “ dari pemaparan tema tersebut Elly menjelaskan prinsip etik yang wajib mendahulukan masyarakat sebagai indikator untuk bersikap adil dalam memberikan pelayanan, perawat sebagai tim kesehatan wajib mendahulukan kepentingan pasien dan meminimalisasi ketimpangan/perbedaan layanan terhadap masyarakat tanpa memandang kemampuan membayar.
Hal ini sangat terkait dengan tanggung jawab etik profesi ners, pengambilan keputusan etik, prinsip etik serta kaitannya dengan hukum dan undang-undang perlindungan konsumen. Sedangkan dari pandangan isu legal Elly menjelaskan ada beberapa aspek yang berkaitan antara lain : 1). Asuhan emergensi memfokuskan perhatian terhadap: interaksi keperawatan dan aspek legal, liabilitas legal, isu legal medic, 2). Elemen tentang tuduhan hukum: Duty/tugas, pelanggaran duty / tugas, penyebab dan kerusakan. (Ang)
