dr yuyun di jepangIn that very special night, a lecturer of medical faculty of Brawijaya University (FK-UB) Dr.dr. Yuyun Yueniwati, SpRad gained a predicate of magna cumlaude for her medical poster entitled “Imaging Features of Spinal Tuberculosis: Case Report and Literature Review” .

That event was a scientific event of the 10th Asian Oceanian Conggress of Neuroradiology 2015. Conggres held for 3 days starting from 5 to 7 November 2015 in Fukuoka Jepang was attended by radiologists, neurologists, neuroradiologists and  neurointervensi expert on Asia-Oceania countries.

Dr. Yuyun is one of the awardees of  Poster Award Winners from  29 participants. There were three categories provided which were Summa Cum Laude, Magna Cum Laude, and Cum Laude.

In its very first time, AOCNR forum was held in Kumamoto Jepang in September 1994 which was at the same time as Symposium of the XVth of Neuroradiolog  Forum. This was due to Profesor Takahashi’s role as the presiden as well as the founder of AOCNR.

The Presiden of the 10th AOCNR congress, Yukunori Korogi, M.D., Ph.D. in her preliminary speech , taken from a website addressed  http://aocnr2015.umin.jp/message.html said that conggres of  AOCNR 10 will provide the complete information regarding the diagnostic aspect and the very important medication in the field of neuroradiology and new gains in that medical field.  Conggres was held in Hilton Fukuoka Sea Hawk which lies in the coastal area and it takes only a few minutes from thecity centre of Fukuoka.

There were several primary programs in congress of AOCNR ini, starting from general lecture from some experts, simposium, seminar,  scientific interactive session especially in the area of neuroradiological field, pleno session, not to mention a forum of neuroradiologi in several countries such as China, Jepang, and other East Asian countries.

It was not aimless why dr. Yuyun chose her poster entitled “Imaging Features of Spinal Tuberculosis”.  Currently, tuberculosis has been endemic in developing countries. With an early and accurate diagnosis, then its implementation can be correctly performed and better prognosis can also be done. Given that, it is then very vital to know the radiological image of extrapulmonal tuberculosis particularly in spinal area. If well and accurately performed, then tuberculous disease can be resolved which in turn results in the patient”s recovery.
