The delegation of FMUB among others: Divvy Kinanti, Rochelle Siem, Septha Rully and Vico Rizkyta able to contribute to achievement of the summit of exciting competition that took place since the start of the First Round SIMPIC on March 18, 2016.
SIMPIC is an annual event organized by the Faculty of Medicine, Siriraj Hospital, Mahidol University, Bangkok, Thailand. FMUB regularly participate in this competition and last year our delegation successfully reached the stage Semifinals.
SIMPIC this year followed by 52 delegates (each delegation consisting of 4 students) from many countries such as Indonesia, Thailand, Cambodia, Malaysia, Bangladesh, Japan, Taiwan, China and Mongolia. Delegation of FMUB has defeated many of the delegates, including the host, Siriraj Hospital, Mahidol University, until it reached the Final Round.
We are dealing with two other delegations of Indonesia in the Final Round: Universitas Indonesia (UI) and the University of Airlangga (UA) who were both finalists SIMPIC last year. One delegation again to reach the Final Round comes from Khon Kaen University, Thailand, who first became a finalist, like us.
Final Round as we had anticipated far more thrilling than the round – the previous rounds. After question after question (or rather the bell for the sake of the bell) we started leads the score so far away from other delegations, except the University of Indonesia. Unfortunately, at the very end of the Final Round, a delegation from Khon Kaen University suddenly leads the score and be a winner. We then entered the session ‘Sudden Death Question’ dealing directly with the University of Indonesia to determine the Runner Up 1. After two ‘Sudden Death Question’, we akhirnyamenangatasUniversitas Indonesia dandinobatkansebagai Runner Up 1. In line with this remarkable achievement, Divvy Kinanti and Rochelle Siem also has been named as two of the 25 delegations with the highest individual score.
“Personally, Final Round is a dramatic moment because we also escaped from the Second Round to Semifinal through ‘Sudden Death Question’. To be honest, there are many moments of wonderfully interesting happens to our delegation since the Second Round begins noon. After the competition , many delegates who congratulates us. many advisor praised the outstanding performance demonstrated by our delegation, mainly because of the motivation and mental strength shown although there is a lot of ‘Sudden Death’ that must be faced. I dared to make sure that no other delegates got the jackpot in the form of ‘Sudden Death’ as much as we have.
I want to give my greatest appreciation to them on a very remarkable performance, which made me and almost everyone who watched stunned SIMPIC their struggle. I also want to thank all those who provide support to us since the election of delegates to this day. “Says Siwi pence Irmawanti, delegate advisor UB School of Medicine.
