Exchange Student by MSCIA FKUB

MSCIA or Medical Students’ Committee for International Affairs is one of the Semi-autonomous InstitutionS which is supervised by BEM Medical Faculty University of Brawijaya, School of Medicine. MSCIA consists of five DepartmentS IN WHICH there are two departments which are DOPE (Department Of Proffessional Exchange) and DORE (Department Of Research Exchange). As the name implies, DOPE and DORE facilitate all students OFMedical Faculty of Brawijaya University to make an exchange around the world. This activity is conducted for one month. Medical students who carry out exchange WILL BE given the opportunity to make observations on health problems in the country of destination which can be a comparATIVE STUDY with the situation in Indonesia.

Within the program, MSCIA of Brawijaya UniversityHASbilateral cooperation with IFMSA or International Federation of Medical Students Association, through CIMSA or Indonesian Center for Medical Students’ Activities. In addition, MSCIA Brawijaya University also conductS unilateral cooperation with Government Students at the Faculty of Medicine abroad outside IFMSA.

This year, MSCIA IS getTING quite a lot of Incoming Students. In March, there were 6 foreign students coming from Germany and Italy. Then, in July period there were 19 students who COME from Spain, Portugal, Finland, Sweden, Czech Republic, Lithuania, Paris, Korea, America, and Slovakia. While in August period there are 14 students who come from Germany, Italy, Spain, Hungary, Belgium, Austria, Poland, Czech Republic, and Slovenia. Each of them makeS observations and learn about the main health problems in Indonesia for a month at the General Hospital Saiful Anwar, Malang. They are required to comply with THE existing regulations at the Hospital. One of them SHOULD BE wearing clothing BASED ON Standart Apparel Medical Students (SPMK) and 5S, NOS (Smile, Greeting, Say Hello, Polite, Courteous, and No Smoking).

In addition to studying the Health Care System in Indonesia, students who do exchange IN BRAWIJAYA UNIVERSITY also learn a lot about Cultural Differences, in terms of food, culture, and art WHICH are mutually represented by their respective countries, including Indonesia in Cultural Day event. The Incoming Students ARE also given facilities such as Social Program LIKE  GOING to places in the city of Malang, likeBromo Mount, South Beach, etc.. The aim is to introduce the beauty of nature that exist in Indonesia (Student Affairs for The Public Relations Faculty of Medicine UB)
