Healthy Walking and Entertainment Close the Agenda of the 43rd FKUB Dies Natalis Celebration

FKUB is one among the universities that were established long ago, it was firstly named STKM and had the status changed into state after having been admitted into UB in 1974.

FKUB alumni were spread throughout Indonesia and abroad, and on this occasion of the 43rd FKUB Dies Natalis this year, the alumni attended and proved a lot of successful stories, and some of them occupy important positions in FKUB, in Malang, in East Java, and even in Indonesia.

Medical Faculty University of Brawijaya (FKUB) celebrated the 43rd Dies Natalis with healthy walking and entertainment that were held on Sunday (January 8, 2017) as a closing activity of FKUB Dies Natalis celebration this year.

Dean of FKUB, Dr dr. Sri Andarini, M.Kes in her speech mentioned that a series of Dies Natalis activities were carrying out by visiting the previous Deans, visiting the retired Professors, and visiting the retired Staff from STKM up to the present time, the activities were then continued with Tausiyah and praying with the orphans on Friday (January 6, 2017) at FKUB Auditorium, community service to veterans, the retired staffs, the Dhuafa and the surrounding communities on Saturday (January 7, 2017) in Rampal Field, Tour de Karangkates Cycling on Monday morning which was followed by 250 cyclists (January 8, 2017) and was closed with healthy walking and entertainment.

We would like to express our thanks to the Executive Board of UB and Medical Faculty for attending our invitation, and we would like to express our thanks to those who also attend our program today. It is should be noted that FKUB currently ranks top 5 of Medical Faculties around Indonesia in terms of UKMPPD graduation which is above 90%.

In 2016 last year, one of our study programs namely Master of Biomedical Science has successfully passed the ASEAN Accreditation (AUNQA) and hopefully in this 2017 Medical Faculty will also follow the similar accreditation process, and we are also the biggest journal contributor in UB.

Meanwhile the Rector, Prof. Dr. Ir. Mohammad Bisri, MS, who was also present at the occasion congratulated FKUB academic community who have managed to reach the age of 43.

Hopefully this series of anniversary celebration benefit us together, FKUB has contributed and helped to improve the performance and reputation of this campus, we hope FKUB will be successful in the future, said the former Dean of FTUB.
