National Leadership Summit 2017

On  the 9th until 12th of February 2017 ago, MSCIA UB has been held one of the biggest national meeting named as National Leadership Summit (NLS) in Malang, East Java. NLS (National Leadership Summit) 2017 is an event carried out by MSCIA FKUB under guidance of CIMSA (Centre  Indonesian Medical Students ‘activities) and was held for four days.

The First Day of NLS opened with newcomers session, then continued with IFMSA and Training session to review the entire delegation. Then on the evening there was welcoming party which was the opening event of NLS 2017 as well as stuffed with giving speech by the Dean of Medical Faculty of Brawijaya University, President of BEM FK UB, President of CIMSA, President of MSCIA, Project officer of NLS 2017. On that event has also been attended by representative of student organizations and ended with performances of traditional dance “grebeg sabrang”. The first day was closed with plenary session, the general assembly of CIMSA. In this agenda there were discussion about matters related to the organization a whole such as National projects, newly established locals and observer, and etc.

Then for the second day, the event began with training that was given starting from the intermediate to advance level and refers to CIMSA regeneration module. The training materials between classes will be different according to their level. Next the event continued with supergames activities and then continued again with Grand lecture. Grand lecture was an expert tuition who brought issue “Actualization greater impact towards community with CIMSA Program” and delivered directly By Valerie Crab from UNICEF Representative. Further activities were General Issue Update (GIU) and delegates were divided into some classes based on their preference. This session facilitated delegation to be updated on an issue about Doctors entertainment by dr. Vardian Mahardika, M.Biomed; Doctor Coaching career by dr. Frilya Rachma Putri, Sp.KJ; and Doctor goesto abroad by dr. Ali Haedar, Sp. EM. Next event after GIU was Parallel Session which is a place to review and share about the progress and work of each local, standing committee, internal team, and external team. Then the last event on the second day was a plenary session.

On the third day of NLS the event beganwith training activities and then continued with small working group to review and discuss about current issues. After that it continued with parrarel session and comdev corner. Comdev corner itself was a session for delegate to know more about the projects of CIMSA and only for the best community development projects from local were displayed and certainly MSCIA UB was one of them. Next event was official session and it was about an explanation to descibe more about job describtion of each CIMSA national official.  Last, as the closing event of NLS 2017 there were farewell party that were contained of performaces by each of the National Officials, Local Coordinators, Regionals, and certainly from the host of NLS 2017 MSCIA UB.

The fourth day is the last day of NLS 2017 and some of delegates was going to Mount Bromo for doing social program activities. This aiming for the session was to introducecity’s tourism of Malang.

As NLS ended, MSCIA UB  had gotten some achievements at National Leader Summit 2017:

  7. Peace Out as Most favorite project for professional and research exchange program
  8. Community development corner participant
  9. Salwa as 3rd place favorite photo contest of SCORE 25th Anniversary
  10. Maria Rinonce as a Best SCORA member on the second period
  11. Nisa Aprilani as a Best LORE on the second period

Finally NLS was successfully finished and hopefully this event can provide benefits for the whole delegation and committee as well as can be motivating MSCIA UB to better in national and international scale. Be active with MSCIA! (MSCIA for Public Relations Officer Dept)
