SNEPY Team succeeded in obtaining First Place in the Research and Development category at the Indonesia ICT Entrepreneur (IdenTIK) 2021 held by the Ministry of Communication and Information of the Republic of Indonesia.
This team is a cross-faculty collaboration at UB, namely Adam Fauzi Akbar (FK 2018), Yusuf Gladiensyah Bihanda (FILKOM 2018), Ilham Ramadhan Maulana (FT 2017), Muhammad Hafiizhul Kirom (FILKOM 2018), Mochammad Rofi Sanjaya (FT 2019), Muhammad Lamkhil Bashor (FILKOM 2018), and Muhamad Romadhani Prabowo (FT 2020).
“SNEPY! is a smart neck pillow to prevent neck pain. Thermal therapy is used to relax stiff and sore muscles. Sound and vibration-based alarms will also wake up users from overuse,” according to Adam as the leader of the SNEPY! Team.
This innovation consists of SNEPY! Pillows and applications, so users can personalize existing features according to user needs.
The IdenTIK 2021 competition was held hybrid, an online curation process, and offline announcements. As the winner, the SNEPY! Team was invited to receive the award in person on November 10, 2021, at The Trans Luxury Hotel, Bandung, while still adhering to strict Health protocols.
This program aims to carry out the Selection and Curation of the ICT works of the Nation’s Children who will be selected to represent Indonesia in the ASEAN ICT Award 2022. There are 5 categories to be contested: Research and Development (RnD), Digital content, Startup Company, Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR), Public Sector, and Private Sector.
As the 1st winner, SNEPY! Team will officially become the Indonesian Delegation in the 2022 ASEAN ICT Award (AICTA) competition. In addition, several other awards were obtained, such as cash worth Rp. 10,000.00, mentoring facilities, and the use of AWS technology equivalent to USD 10,000 from HUB.ID x AWS, plaques & certificates of appreciation, and become part of the national ICT work data repository.
During the awarding event, SNEPY! also got a booth facility to showcase its products so that other visitors could try them directly. The Director of Information Empowerment, Dr. Ir. Boniface Wahyu Pudjianto, M.Eng, and the IdenTIK 2021 judges also attended the event and tried out the product.
